Save the Children India – Delhi Chapter is launched its initiative of ‘City Bajao Seeti’ on 6th December, 2013 in Delhi. The City Bajao Seeti is an effort to empower our girls and women and the Pilot Project is initiated in the capital city. It was launched by Mr. Arjun Mathur, Actor.
Save The Children India- Delhi Chapter has taken the initiative to empower our girls and women by providing all with the suraksha seeti or rescue whistles. The concept of this campaign is that any girl or women is in distress and is subjected to eve teasing or assault or attack or rape or any unwarranted behaviour , she can blow a whistle and that can set an alarm to enable the community to rescue her. City Bajao Seeti aims to give women and girls the platform they need to feel safe in all situations. The initiative of STCI-Delhi not only seeks to give women a voice against crime, but also encourages men and other citizen to react to the call of need, involve the community and fight against crime.
